THE REBIRTH OF MICHAEL VICK

At one point, Michael Vick was the highest paid football player in the NFL.  However, he just emerged broke from two years of prison and parole for his role in a nasty dog fighting ring.  

Among the encouraging signs of his rehabilitation is that Tony Dungy has been mentoring him. Tony Dungy is the former head coach of the Superbowl Champion Indianapolis Colts.  His autobiography is titled, "Quiet Strength," and describes his faith and his trials - such as the suicide of his son.  Tony Dungy is undoubtedly sharing his faith and trying to build faith through discipleship in the life of Michael Vick - one of the best athletes ever to play in the NFL.  

So, if Michael Vick is signed by an NFL team and makes it back to the top, it will undoubtedly be because of the work of God in the life of Tony Dungy, who in turn is investing in the lives of other men.  

That is exactly what we are called to do with our lives:  2 Tim. 2:2:  "and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach (train) others also."
